Note: We typically meet on the first Tuesday of each month but adjust as needed to accomodate speakers. Our meetings begin at 6:15 PM and include time to network, discuss concerns relevant to the SQL Server community, and hear a presentation. We meet at the Training Concepts facility in Columbia, SC.
Topic: SQL Server Built-In Encryption

Abstract: Built-in encryption was first included in SQL Server 2005 in order to answer a gap in data protection that many were asking for. In this session we'll look at the built-in encryption options SQL Server gives us, how best to use them, and what we need to take care of to ensure our data is recoverable in the event of a failure.
